When you first meet Mikayla, you can’t avoid being charmed by her bubbly personality, zest for life, and willingness to lend a helping hand. She also has the uncanny ability to sing along to just about every genre of music. We’ve seriously tested her. These are just a few of the reasons we are grateful she joined our team.
Growing up in Boise, Mikayla left the nest to attend Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio (much to the delight of her fellow Stoltz Buckeye). Earning a degree in Public Relations, she jumped right into agency life post-graduation. Cutting her teeth on a variety of clients at an integrated marketing agency, Mikayla discovered her love for content creation and social media management. After a few years, Mikayla moved back to the Gem State to be closer to family and went client-side, working as a communications coordinator for the health insurance exchange. There, she learned the difference between PPO, HMO, CDPS, and FQHC, plus 572 other acronyms, while drafting internal communications and managing media relations. She was then recruited back to the Cincinnati agency as a senior media relations specialist.
But lo and behold, the remote work life was not for Mikayla. Mikayla is a PEOPLE person. She loves her cats but prefers human conversation over purring at the office. She was recruited to another Boise shop, Bear Fox Marketing, as a content specialist where she wrote website copy and blog articles. Missing client interaction, she jumped on the opportunity to get back into the account world at Stoltz.
Fast forward to today. Never one to sit down, Mikayla transitioned to our fast-paced environment with an energetic passion that is contagious. She likes to get to know, as in really know, all the people she encounters, which makes her not only an excellent account manager but also a master of understanding human behavior. This happens to be pretty handy in the marketing world. And when she’s not guiding clients or keeping our team hyper-organized, she’s enjoying eating her way through Boise and creating her own delicious content by going to dinner with friends. She is now our go-to restaurant review source.
