When WoodWorks approached Stoltz to help create a new website, we agreed to start by refreshing the foundation—the brand. After all, building brands for building brands is one of our specialties (Excuse the word play, we couldn’t stop ourselves). We’ve worked with the non-profit on other initiatives, and were excited to help WoodWorks further their mission to help people build more commercial and multi-family buildings with wood.
To develop the framework for the new and improved WoodWorks brand, we worked closely with the team to maintain existing brand equity in the construction community, while updating the approach to better reach architects and real estate developers. Our research process led to the creation of a versatile brand system that works across technical and creative disciplines. It’s anchored by a strong logo, centered around symbols of connection and sustainability. The colors and fonts straddle a delicate line between standing out in the crowded industry, while fitting in amongst partners and funders.
We are proud to deliver a brand system crafted for flexibility and ease of use. WoodWorks can build on this brand for years to come. And that’s good, because this is just the beginning. Stay tuned for a new website coming later this year.

2022 – Website Design
We helped WoodWorks build an online community platform (think LinkedIn) where architects and engineers can show off their work in mass timber, connect with others that have experience, and find new projects to collaborate on. WoodWorks Innovation Network also serves as a recruitment tool for developers, helping them seek out qualified mass timber experts and build the team they need to bring their beautiful structures to life.
