Amazon One Medical is not your ordinary doctor’s office. Through telehealth, friendly in-person clinics, and a focus on making healthcare painless, they are changing the way people access care. Bringing clarity to the nebulous world of healthcare, One Medical for Business is bringing primary care to the masses through employee benefits for over 8,500 organizations. We came into the picture to build out collateral, elevate demand-generation channels, bring life to events, and tell their meaningful story. As One Medical integrates into the Amazon ecosystem and shifts the primary care landscape, we’re on call to support a new marketing vision.

THE BUSINESS SITUATION

Healthcare costs were already climbing

With the 2026 forecast bracing employers for the highest benefit cost increase in 15 years. On top of that, One Medical had just become part of Amazon, an identity shift that made HR managers and benefits brokers wary of trusting them with their teams’ care. Their enterprise sales team was stuck breaking into newer, slower markets, especially with companies over 500 employees, and needed those lukewarm leads to feel like they were dealing with a local partner who could follow through.

OUR SOLUTION

Pair Amazon’s reach with
hyper-local care

HR managers and benefits specialists are under mounting pressure to prove ROI on every program they run, all while healthcare costs climb and primary care access becomes a harder case to make internally. They’re fighting for budget and attention, and their inboxes are full of pitches that make the same promises everyone else does.

Amid all that noise, one thing cuts through: people take pride in where they’re from. That pride is exactly what a national brand usually overlooks.

We made custom sales boxes filled with high-quality items sourced from each recipient’s own city, built to feel like a surprise and delight moment, not another sales pitch. It respects the pressure these buyers are under by leading with value instead of adding to the noise. Geotargeted digital and email campaigns kept the momentum going after the box landed.

THE IMPACT

Small Boxes, Big Moves

A single-market test in Houston, 300 boxes sent to HR leaders at companies near local clinics, worked well enough that Amazon expanded the program to five more markets: Columbus, Raleigh-Durham, Dallas-Fort Worth, Atlanta, and Connecticut. From there it kept growing. Getting hard performance numbers out of a company the size of Amazon is its own project (we tried), but the signal that matters is hard to argue with: they liked it enough to take the whole thing system-wide.
