With an infrastructure that encourages single occupancy vehicles, people in the greater Boise area rarely consider taking the bus.

It’s comfortable here. But the area is experiencing rapid growth—longer commute times and dwindling parking spaces with vehicle pride creates tension, while fear of schedule freedom, fear of status stereotypes and fear of the unknown, all lead to folks opting out of the bus.

In early 2019, as Valley Regional Transit’s flagship fixed-route bus service launched some major line changes, we launched the educational brand awareness campaign, “Rider’s Education”. This campaign gives people the knowledge, confidence and tools needed to not just try the bus, but to be good at it.
